Walter "Happy" Harnott played six games with the Boston Bruins in 1933-34 but spent most of his career in the minor pro ranks. The Montreal native first garnered attention as a solid worker on the local senior squads before he joined the Boston Cubs of the Can-Am circuit, which led to his brief NHL tenure with the parent Bruins. Harnott continued to compete for the Cubs until he joined the Calgary Tigers of the NWHL in 1935-36. During World War II he skated with the Montreal RCAF squad and the Valleyfield Braves before hanging up his skates in 1945 after 17 seasons and zero cards.
Gerry Ehman started his hockey career as a standout offensive forward for the Flin Flon Bombers of the SJHL in 1951-52. From 1952 to 1958 he saw action with the Edmonton Flyers, the St. Louis Flyers, the Sherbrooke Saints, the Quebec Aces, the Vancouver Canucks, the Springfield Indians, and the Hershey Bears. Between minor-league stops he picked up 1 game with the Boston Bruins and 6 more with the Detroit Red Wings. Then in 1958 the Leafs acquired him giving Ehman his first steady NHL job. Over 3 seasons he played 121 games in Toronto getting his name etched on the Stanley Cup in 1963-64. The fledgling Oakland Seals secured his rights in 1967 and he would put up four-straight seasons of solid numbers with them. By the end of the 1970-71 campaign he retired to pursue a lengthy career as a scout for various NHL teams. All his hockey cards were issued in the Leaf uniform, here is his Bruins custom rookie card.
