Eddie Jeremiah, who could play right wing or defense, made it to the NHL in 1931-32 when he suited up for a handful of games with the New York Americans and Boston Bruins. He played his first pro season in 1930-31 with the New Haven Eagles of the Can Am league. The following year he played nine games with the New York Americans before being sold to the Boston Bruins who used him in the NHL for six games. Then it was back to the Can Am league for another 2 seasons. In 1934-35, he finished his playing career with a ten game stint with the Cleveland Falcons of the IAHL without having a hockey card issued.
Bill Jennings played briefly with the Detroit Red Wings and Boston Bruins in the early 1940s aided by the loss of many players to military service in World War II. he began his pro career with the Detroit Holzbaugh Fords of the MOHL in 1939-40 and accumulated 44 points in 35 games that year before signing as a free agent with the Detroit Red Wings. Jennings split the next three seasons between the Wings and the Indianapolis Capitols of the AHL before he was traded to the Boston Bruins. Jennings made the most of his last year in the NHL, scoring 20 goals and helping the Bruins qualify for the playoffs. He retired in 1946 after playing one last year with St. Louis and Hershey in the AHL. He would never have a hockey card issued. |
Doug Kostynski was a fine scorer in junior and the minors who was called up by the Boston Bruins when they were ravaged by injuries in the early 1980s. He was claimed 186th overall by Boston in the 1982 NHL Entry Draft and next year exploded for 57 goals and 116 points for Kamloops in the Western Jr. League. Kostynski adjusted well to the AHL in 1983-84 and scored three goals in nine games for the Bruins. He played six games in Boston the next year but most of his time was spent in the AHL. Kostnyski left North America in 1989 to suit up for the Saipa club in the Finnish Elite League. He totaled 84 points in two seasons before leaving the game in 1990 without a hockey card.
Booth Lusteg played 11 years of professional football from 1966–1976 as a kicker/punter and was all around the Super Bowl many times, but never in it. With the Buffalo Bills, he was one win away, with his team having won the division (and a year in which he led the league in kick-scoring). With the Miami Dolphins, he was on the team before they won the “big game” (in their famed undefeated season). Booth was with the Pittsburgh Steelers before they won one of their Super Bowls, and he played with the Green Bay Packers right after they won the Super Bowl. Client asked for a card for each of these teams and seasons.
