Ron Flockhart scored over 300 NHL points in the 1980s playing chiefly with the Philadelphia Flyers and St. Louis Blues. Early in the 1983-84 season, Flockhart was traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins and he scored 27 goals for the Penguins but the team struggled and finished dead last in the NHL standings. He went from there to Montreal for 1 season then to St. Louis for 3 more. He played his last 4 NHL games as a Bruin in 1988-89 before heading to Italy. He scored 65 points in 31 games for Cortina that year, then spent two seasons with HC Bolzano before retiring in 1991.
