Al Arbour played defense on the junior Windsor Spitfires of the OHA then turned pro with the Edmonton Flyers of the Western Hockey League in 1952-53. In 1957-58, Arbour played his first NHL games in the red and white of the Detroit Red Wings. After that he would play another 17 years of pro hockey followed by 22 years as a coach with the New York Islanders. He had a 1952-53 Red Wings rookie card issued, client wanted a '53-54 custom.
