Prior to the 1948-49 season, the New York Rangers loaned Ron Rowe to the Tacoma Rockets of the Pacific Coast Hockey League where he spent three seasons, before joining the PCHL's Vancouver Canucks for the 1951-52 season. After 12 games into the season, the Rangers traded Rowe to the Sydney Millionaires of the Maritime Major Hockey League where he played only a handful of games before being dealt by Sydney to the MMHL's Moncton Hawks.
