We'll start with the recreation, for the third year in a row OPC & Topps used someone else's picture on Don Awrey's 1969-70 card. In the '67-68 and '68-69 sets Skip Krake is pictured on Don's cards. One could perhaps allow the '67-68 error but Krake was traded to the LA Kings for the next season while Awrey remained with the Boston Bruins and the mistake still happened. And to finish the cycle in 1969-70 they once again didn't recognize him using yet another error picture !!! Here is my 1969-70 Don Awrey recreation.
Chris Oddleifson was a 1st round pick, 10th overall, by the California Golden Seals at the 1971 Amateur Draft. He spent three years working on his game in the minors and, in the process, was traded to the Boston Bruins. He played his first six NHL games with the Bruins in 1972-73 and another 49 games with the club the following season. He was originally a hard-nosed forward in junior and the minors but became a fine playmaker and checker in an NHL career that lasted more than 500 games before he retired in 1981. He had his official rookie card issued in the '74-75 OPC & Topps sets as a Vancouver Canuck so shown below is his '73-74 Bruins Missing Link creation.
