Round #1 - Pick #10: Brad Selwood, Defense From Niagara Falls Flyers
Selwood apprenticed for two years in the minors; with Tulsa Oilers of CHl and Vancouver Canucks of the WHL, prior to playing 28 games as an NHL rookie in 1970-71. In 1970 with the Canucks he was named top rookie in the WHL. In 1971-72 he played a regular shift with the Maple Leafs and appeared to be headed for a long career in blue and white. However, prior to the 1972-73 season, Selwood was lured to the WHA by the New England Whalers. He would be one of a hand full of players to play all 7 WHA seasons. He would never have a card issued in the Maple Leaf uniform but we have created a 1971-72 Missing Link rookie card.
